SIZE GUIDE - READ THIS FIRST

Measure your couch cushion, not your dog. Take a tape and measure the depth of your seat cushion from the front edge to the back cushion, then the width you want covered. Pick the size equal to or smaller than that depth.

Small - an armchair, one loveseat cushion, or a car back seat.
Large - one cushion of a standard two or three seat sofa.
Jumbo - the wide seat of a large sofa or an L-shaped sectional.

HOW IT STAYS PUT

Two adjustable anchor straps tuck into the crease between your seat and back cushions, and the underside is a grippy non-slip weave. On slippery leather, push the back edge an inch deeper into the crease and it will not shift - the same trick works on a sectional.

Under the sleeping surface and the front panel sits a water-resistant TPU membrane. It handles drool, wet paws and small accidents long enough for you to lift the cover off. It is not a sealed tarp: if something soaks it, take it off the couch rather than waiting.

WASHING IT WITHOUT WRECKING IT

1. Unzip the cover fully and take the bolster inserts out. They do not go in the machine - that is what causes the lumping you have seen on other beds.
2. Zip the empty cover closed before washing. An open zipper chews up faux fur.
3. Cold wash, gentle cycle, a small amount of detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener.
4. Tumble dry low, or air dry. High heat is what makes faux fur mat.
5. Shake the cover out before you put the inserts back.

It is not waterproof. It is water-resistant, and we would rather say so precisely.

It is not a chew toy. If your dog destroys bedding, this will not survive him and we would rather tell you now than sell you one.

It is not a medical device and it will not fix a behavioural problem. The raised bolsters give your dog an edge to lean into and somewhere to rest his chin, which is why many dogs pick a bolstered bed over a flat mat sitting right next to it. That is the whole mechanism.
